The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on Wednesday February
28, 2018 at 10:00 am in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S.
Ann Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Approve Minutes of February 7, 2018, February 14, 2018 and February 19, 2018
Meetings.
5. Consider and Take Necessary Action to award the purchase of six fire trucks. (One for
each of the Calhoun County Volunteer Fire Departments.) (MP)
6. Consider and Take Necessary Action to rescind motion and vote on incorrect
specifications approved on Monday February 19, 2018 for Chillers for the Calhoun
County Adult Detention Center and the Calhoun County Courthouse. (MP)
Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications for Chillers for the
Calhoun County Adult Detention Center and the Calhoun County Courthouse and
authorize the County Auditor to advertise for bids. A mandatory pre -bid meeting and site
walk through will be held at 1 pm on Thursday March 15, 2018 beginning in the
Commissioners Courtrooms. Bids will be due in the County Judge's Office on or before
10:00 AM, Thursday March 22, 2018 and considered for award on Wednesday, April 14,

8. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Petition to Vacate Seadrift Farm Tract 1818 &
1819 in the American Townsite Co. Subdivision, a subdivision in Calhoun County,
Texas according to the established map or plat of said subdivision of record in Volume Z,

9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Preliminary Plat of the Brown Subdivision in the

13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Notice of Communication Line Installation from
Frontier Communications to construct a communication line within the right-of-way of
Yd Street and Maple Street in Calhoun County, Precinct #4, Port O'Connor, Texas. (KF)
14. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to close Water Street between 13'h &
151h Streets, and 14`h Street between Water & Commerce Streets; between the hours of
12:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in Port O'Connor, Texas for the Poco Bueno Fishing Tournament

15. Consider and Take Necessary Action to declare Bissell Vacuum cleaner purchased by
Precinct #3 on June 4, 2007 as Waste and authorize disposal of same. Vacuum runs bud
does not clean, and would not be cost efficient to repair. (CS)
16. Consider and Take Necessary Action on appointments to the Calhoun County Radio
Committee. (MP)
17. Consider and Take Necessary Action on continued participation in TAC HEBP ARTS
Program and authorize County Judge to sign agreement. (MP)
18. Public Hearing on the matter of amending the 2017 and 2018 Calhoun County Budgets.
19. Consider and Take Necessary Action on the matter of amending the 2017 and 2018
