The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on September 8, 2011 at
10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann
Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.

The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.

4. Approve Minutes of July 28, 2011 Meeting.
5. Hear Report From Memorial Medical Center.
6. Award bids for Fuel to be Delivered and Fuel on Automated Card System for the period
September 16, 2011 through October 15, 2011. (CM)
7. Public Hearing on proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll
in the preceding tax year by 6.64 percent. (MP)
8. Public Hearing on the Matter of amending the 2011 Calhoun County Budgets.
9. Consider and Take Necessary Action to amend the 2011 Calhoun County Budgets. (CM)
10. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Texas Department of State Health Services
(DSHS) Contract No. 2012-039445 with the Calhoun County Health Department in the
amount of $30,041 and authorize County Judge to sign. (Dr. C)
11. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Xerox lease agreement for Calhoun County
Health Department and authorize County Judge to sign. (KD)
12. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas:
Portion of Platted Roadway No. 1: A 2626 square tract of land situated in what is
called Wilkins Drive as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach Subdivision,
Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the established map
and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the Plat Records of
Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be abandoned and
vacated is labeled No. 1 on the survey plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is
more fully described by metes and bounds on the fieldnote description attached
hereto as exhibit `B"

13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas:
Portion of Platted Roadway No. 2: A 2505 square tract of land situated in what is
called Wilkins Drive as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach Subdivision,
Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the established map
and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the Plat Records of
Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be abandoned and
vacated is labeled No. 2 on the survey plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is
more fully described by metes and bounds on the fieldnote description attached
hereto as exhibit "C"
14. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following

15. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas:
Portion of Platted Roadway No. 4: A 180 square tract of land situated in what is
called Denver Avenue as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach
Subdivision, Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the
established map and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the
Plat Records of Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be
abandoned and vacated is colored pink and labeled No. 4 on the survey plat
attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
16. Consider and Take Necessary Action on various insurance policies expiring January 2012
to determine those for which bids will be solicited and type of specifications to be
prepared. (CM)
17. Consider and Take Necessary Action to close streets (see map) in Port O'Connor, Texas
on October 8, 2011 as needed for the POC-Style 5K Run Streets will only be closed
temporarily as needed for the run. This event benefits the Port O'Connor Chamber of
Commerce. (KF)
18. Consider and Take Necessary Action to authorize County Judge to sign letter of support
for the Victoria County Station Emergency Plan. (LT)

19. Consider and Take Necessary Action on contract with Pitney Bowes for a postage
machine for the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department and authorize County Judge to
sign. (BB)
20. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Professional Services Provider Contract No. 05-
5107-486 with Urban Engineering and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)
21. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Professional Services Provider Contract No. 06-
5100 with Coast & Harbor Engineering and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)
22. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Professional Services Provider Contract No. 04-
5107-483 with CivilCorp and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)
23. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Professional services Provider Contract No. 17-
5100 with Moffatt & Nichol and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)
24. Consider and Take Necessary Action on contract with Victoria Electric Cooperative
Company for electrical service to meter no. 26480 located at Six Mile Creek and
authorize Commissioner Lyssy to sign all necessary documents. (VL)
25. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Texas Department of Transportation Grant for
Routine Airport Maintenance Program (TXDOT Project No. AM 2012 PTLAV) and
authorize County Judge to sign. (VL)
26. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve the donation of Boot Camp uniforms
and boots to Ever Change Youth Academy in consideration of one month of residential
placement for one juvenile. The approximate value of placement is $2,800. (LL)
27. Consider and Take Necessary Action on General Land Office Contract No. 06-072-000-
0678 and authorize County Judge to sign. (KF)
28. Consider and Take Necessary Action to accept payment from General Land Office in the
amount of $2,500 (GLO Contract 06-072) and have funds deposited in Precinct #4 budget
for 2011. (KF)
29. Consider and Take Necessary Action to authorize $126,000 loan from General Fund to
Capital Project— Magnolia Beach Jetty Construction Fund (Texas Parks and Wildlife
reimbursement grant). (CM)
