The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on September 22, 2011 at
10:00 a.m. in the Commissioner's Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann
Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Approve Minutes of August 11, 2011 and August 25, 2011 meetings.
5. Consider and take necessary action to Pass Order approving and adopting the 2012
Calhoun County Budget. (MP)
6. Consider and take necessary action to Pass Order setting 2011 tax rates, levying taxes for
the Fiscal and Calendar tax year 2011 for Calhoun County, Texas; adopt the General
Fund Maintenance and Operations tax rate and Debt Tax rate for Fiscal and Calendar
Year 2011. (MP)
Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas: (RG)
Portion of Platted Roadway No. 1: a 2626 square tract of land situated in what is
called Wilkins Drive as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach Subdivision,
Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the established map
and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the Plat Records of
Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be abandoned and
vacated is labeled No. 1 on the survey plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is
more fully described by metes and bounds on the fieldnote description attached
hereto as exhibit "B"
8. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas: (RG)
Portion of Plated Roadway No. 2: A 2505 square tract of land situated in what is
called Wilkins Drive as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach Subdivision,
Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the established map
and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the Plat Records of
Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be abandoned and
vacated is labeled No. 2 on the survey plat attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and is

9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following

Plat Records of Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be
abandoned and vacated is labeled No. 3 on the survey plat attached hereto as

10. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to abandon and vacate the following
portion of Wilkins Drive and Denver Avenue in Bayside Beach Subdivision, Unit 2,
Precinct No. 1, Calhoun County, Texas: (RG)
Portion of Platted Roadway No. 4: A 180 square tract of land situated in what is
called Denver Avenue as shown on the existing plat of Bayside Beach
Subdivision, Unit 2, a subdivision in Calhoun County, Texas, according to the
established map and plat of said subdivision recorded in Volume Z, page 46 of the
Plat Records of Calhoun County, Texas. Said portion of platted roadway to be
abandoned and vacated is colored pink and labeled No. 4 on the survey plat
attached hereto as Exhibit "A"
11. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for Proposals for Insurance and Risk Management Consultant
Services. Proposals will be due Thursday, October 6, 2011 and will be considered for
award on Thursday, October 13, 2011. (CM)
12. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorized the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Prescription Drugs for the Calhoun County Adult
Detention Center and the Calhoun County Indigent Program for the period beginning
January 1, 2012 and ending December 31, 2012. Bids will be due Thursday, November
3, 2011 and will be considered for award on Thursday, November 10, 2011. (CM)
13. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Medical Services for the Calhoun County Adult
Detention Center for the period beginning January 1, 2012 and ending December 31,
2012. Bids will be due Thursday, November 3, 2011 and will be considered fro award on
Thursday, November 10, 2011. (CM)
14. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize County
Auditor to advertise for bids for the Magnolia Beach Boat Ramp improvements. Bids
will be due Thuesday, October 25, 2011 and will be consider for award Thursday,
October 27, 2011. (RG)

15. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Professional Services Provider Contract No. 02-
5109-999 with Atkins North America, Inc., and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)
16. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Work Order No. 02-5109-999-WO1 under
Professional Services Provider Contract with Atkins North America, Inc., and authorize
County Judge to sign. (MP)
17. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Third Amendment to Real Estate Option to
Purchase and authorize County Judge to sign. (KF)
18. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Resolution Regarding Approval of Hazard
Mitigation Plan Update. (LT)
19. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Juror Pay Order Amendment. (MP)
20. Consider and Take Necessary Action to allow the Calhoun County Extension Service to
