The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on April 12, 2012 at 10:00
a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann Street,
Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Hear from Mr. Donnie Montemayor, District Extension Administrator, regarding
presentation of Applicant for position of County Extension Agent -Family & Consumer
Sciences and take any action deemed necessary. (MP)
5. Approve Minutes of January 12, 2012 February 23, 2012 and March 8, 2012 Meetings.
6. Award bids for Fuel to be Delivered and Fuel on Automated Card System for the period
April 16, 2012 through May 15, 2012. (CM)
7. Consider and Take Necessary Action to accept arbitrage rebate reports for the year
ending December 31, 2011 as prepared by First Southwest Asset Management. (CM)
8. Consider and Take Necessary Action to review and accept the Calhoun County
Investment Policy Fiscal Year 2012 and Re -appoint County Treasurer Rhonda Kokena as
the Investment Officer for all County Funds. (RK)
9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Participation Agreement with Government Pay
Service, Inc. (d/b/a "Gov/Pay/Nat") and authorize the County Judge to sign. (BB)
10. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve the Preliminary Plat of Sterling Estates.

12. Consider and Take Necessary Action to authorize reimbursement to Wellness

13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Interlocal Agreement with Harris County for
postmortem examinations and authorize County Judge to sign. (MP)

Commerce for the use of King Fisher Beach in Port O'Connor, Texas for their annual

19. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Fourth Amendment to Real Estate Option to
Purchase Agreement with James N. Stofer and authorize County Judge to sign. (KF)
20. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Interlocal Agreement between Calhoun County
and the City of Seadrift. (KF)
21. Consider and Take Necessary Action to authorize Seadrift Volunteer Fire Department to
use the $7000 grant matching funds authorized on October 5, 2011 to be applied to the
mounting of a body to Chassis, Asset #521-0046. (KF)
22. Consider and Take Necessary Action to set April 26, 2012 as date for Public Hearing
regarding Petition to vacate a 19.56 acre portion of Lot 13, Westerlunds Subdivision as
recorded in Volume N, Page 642 of the Deed Records of Calhoun County, Texas. (KF)
23. Consider and Take Necessary Action to reinstate asset #545-0048, 1983 Kais/Jeep 5 ton
Brush Truck that had previously been surplused/salvaged, to the Port O'Connor
Volunteer Fire Department inventory. (KF)
24. Public Hearing on the matter of amending the 2011 and 2012 Calhoun County Budgets.
25. Consider and Take Necessary Action to amend the 2011 and 2012 Calhoun County
Budgets.

30. Consider and take necessary action to declare certain items of County property in the
Calhoun County Sheriff's department as waste and authorize the Sheriff s department to

31. Consider and Take Necessary Action to declare certain items of County property in the
Calhoun County Sheriffs department as surplus/salvage. Further, to authorize the
Sheriff s Department to donate the Uniform pants and jacket to the Calhoun County
Senior Citizen's Center and donate the cell phone and cell phone accessories to The
Harbor as per Local Government Code 263.152(a)(4)(B). (See list) (BB)
32. Consider and take necessary action on the matter of declaring certain items of County
property as surplus/salvage.
33. Consider and Take Necessary Action to transfer a 19' galvanized trailer, 18' Aluminum
Munson Boat, and a white 200 HP Johnson Boat Motor, refer to asset #'s 565-0466 and
565-0478 to Magnolia Beach First Responders and Volunteers. (See list for Serial

34. Consider and take necessary action on matter of transferring certain items of County
property from one County department to another County Department. (See List)
35. Consider and take action on any necessary budget adjustments.
36. Consider and take necessary action on single source, emergency and public welfare
