The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on August 8, 2013 at 10:00
a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann Street,
Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Approve Minutes of July 25, 2013 Meeting.
5. Hear update by the Guadalupe -Blanco River Authority regarding the Lower Guadalupe
Delta Aquatic Vegetation Management Task Force. (MP)
6. Hear Presentation of a report by the Guadalupe -Blanco River Authority documenting the
Hydrology of Greenlake. (MP)
7. Hear Report From Memorial Medical Center.
8. Award bids for Fuel to be delivered for the period August 16, 2013 through September
15, 2013. (CM)
9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on bid from Hurt's Wastewater Management, LTD
in the amount of $79,500.00 to furnish and install a wastewater treatment system for the
Indianola/Magnolia Wetland Preservation: Project #5107-483-01: Magnolia Beach
Restroom Project; to be completed in 45 days. (RG)
10. Public Hearing on Request to Vacate and Abandon a portion of Fourth street, in Port
O'Connor, Calhoun County, Texas, being 481.94 square feet of land situation on Lot
Seven (7), Block C, in the Original Townsite of Port O'Connor, in Calhoun County,
Texas, according to the established map and plat of said Townsite of Port O'Connor
recorded in Volume 2, Page 01, of the Deed Records of Calhoun County, Texas. (KF)
11. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Request to Vacate and Abandon a portion of
Fourth street, in Port O'Connor, Calhoun County, Texas, being 481.94 square feet of land

Calhoun County, Texas, according to the established map and plat of said Townsite of

12. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Educational Affiliation Agreement between
Calhoun County Emergency Medical Services and Victoria College for services related
to Compliance with the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act and
authorize Henry Barber to sign. (HIPAA). (HB)
13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on renewal of the group health insurance plan with
the Texas Association of Counties Health and Employee Benefits Pool for the plan year
of 2013-2014 and authorize County Judge to sign. New premium rates will begin on
October 1, 2013. (RK)
14. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Change Order No. 1 for the Seadrift Bayfront
Pier, Calhoun County, Texas No. 5107-486-01 for a decrease of $1,910.00 and authorize
Commissioner Finster to sign. (KF)
15. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to allow vendor displays on Kingfish
Park/Beach for the End of the Road Beach Bash on August 31, 2013. (KF)
16. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Resolution and Nomination to the Calhoun
County Appraisal District 2014-2015 Board of Directors Election. (MP)
17. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning. (MP)
18. Consider and Take Necessary Action on appointments/reappointments to Drainage
Districts #6, #8, and 410. (MP)
19. Consider and Take Necessary Action to change the First meeting in October to October
15, 2013 due to scheduling Conflict. (MP)
20. Consider and Take Necessary Action to change the Second Meeting in November to
November 26, 2013 due to Thanksgiving Holiday and the Second Meeting in December
to December 23, 2013 due to Christmas Holiday. (MP)
21. Public Hearing on the matter of amending the 2013 Calhoun County Budgets. The public
shall have the right to be present and participate in such hearing.
22. Consider and Take Necessary Action on the matter of amending the 2013 Calhoun
County Budgets. (MP)
