The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on October 24, 2013 at
10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann
Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Asphalts, Oils and Emulsions for the Calhoun County
Indigent Program for the period beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 31,
2014. Bids will be due Thursday, December 5, 2013 and will be considered for award
Thursday, December 12, 2013. (CM)
5. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Prescription Drugs for the Calhoun County Indigent
Program for the period beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2014. Bids
will be due Thursday, December 5, 2013 and will be considered for award Thursday,
December 12, 2013. (CM)
6. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Road Materials for the Calhoun County Indigent
Program for the period beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2014. Bids
will be due Thursday, December 5, 2013 and will be considered for award Thursday,
December 12, 2013. (CM)
7. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County
Auditor to advertise for bids for Insecticides for the Calhoun County Indigent Program
for the period beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2014. Bids will be
due Thursday, December 5, 2013 and will be considered for award Thursday, December
12, 2013. (CM)
S. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve the second of two extensions of the
Calhoun County Adult Detention Center Food Contract with Ben E. Keith for the period
beginning January 1, 2014 and ending December 31, 2014 and authorize the County
Judge to sign any necessary documents. (RM)

9. Consider and Take Necessary Action to amend Paragraph 8 of the Fractionator II
Abatement agreement with Formosa Plastics to extend the target completion date for the
covered sports arena by one year. (MP)
10. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Public Hearing to Abandon a 5,663 square foot
tract of land situated in the Maximo Campos Survey, Abstract A, Calhoun County Texas
and being a portion of the 3rd Street right-of-way located between Lot 1, Block 3 and Lot
2, Block 5 of Swan Point Lagoon, Unit One, according to the established map and plat of
said addition recorded in Volume Z, page 374 of the Plat Records of Calhoun County,
