2005-06-16 Special June Term Held June 16, 2005 THE STATE OF TEXAS !i !i !i COUNTY OF CALHOUN BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 16th day of June, A.D., 2005 there was begun and holden at the Memorial Medical Plaza in the City of Port Lavaca, said County and State, at 10:00 A.M., a Special Term of the Commissioners' Court within said County and State, and there were present on this date the following members of the Court, to-wit: Michaei J, Pfeifer Roger C. Galvan Michael J, Balajka Neil E, Fritsch Kenneth W. Finster Wendy Marvin County Judge Commissioner, Precinct 1 Commissioner, Precinct 2 Commissioner, Precinct 3 Commissioner, Precinct 4 Deputy County Clerk Thereupon the following proceedings were had: Commissioner Galvan gave the Invocation and Commissioner Finster ied the Pledge of Allegiance. GENERAL DISCUSSION: Mr. Bill Tigrett and Mr. Glen Gates were present to speak to the Court In regards to Lighthouse Estates Subdivision. This project was started eight to nine years ago and was delayed due to a death in the family and family illness, Last year the Court adopted new Subdivision Rules and Regulations and Mr. Gates is asking that he be grandfathered under the old Subdivision Rules and Regulations because the project had been started and half way complete with the harbor and the Corp permit being done. Mr. Gate's would like to now plat his subdivision under the old regulations and he realizes that the Court can not take action today but would like them to consider his request. APPROVE SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZE AUDITOR TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR SELF-FUNDED AND FULLY INSURED PACKAGES FOR COUNTY EMPLOYEES' HEALTH INSURANCE: John Debler with GSM Insurance was present and handed out a report with three different tiers for self insured plans. Ben Comiskey, County Auditor suggested that the Court pass on this item and put it back on the Agenda for the next meeting, A Committee of Commissioner Galvan, Commissioner Fritsch, Treasurer Rhonda Kokena and Sheriff B.B. Browning are going to look at the specifications and bring them back to the Court September 23, 2005. No action was taken on this item. DECLARE CONSTRUCTION AT THE MEMORIAL MEDICAL PLAZA AS SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE: A Motion was made by Commissioner Balajka and seconded by Commissioner Galvan to deciare Construction at the Memorial Medical Plaza as Substantially Compiete.
