BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this the 18th day of November,
A.D., 2002 there was begun and holden at the Courthouse in
the City of Port Lavaca, said Count~ and State, at 8:00
A.M., a Special Term of the Commiss10ners' Court, within
said Count~ and State, and there were present on this date
the follow1ng members of the Court, to-wit:

Thereupon the following proceedings were had:
Commissioner Galvan gave the Invocation and Commissioner
Finster led the Plege of Allegiance.
EXECUTIVE SESSION - VICTIM ASSISTANCE COORDINATOR
The Commissioners' Court being in open session, the County
Judge as presiding officer publicly announced that
Commissioners' Court would go into a closed meeting as
authorized by Section 551, Sub-chapter D of Vernon's Texas
Codes Annotated, Government Code. The s~ecific section of
the closed meeting is Section 551.074 wh1ch authorizes a
closed meeting to discuss the appointment, employment,
evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline, or dismissal
of a public officer or employee, unless such officer or
employee requests a public hearing. Victim Assistance
Coordinator,
The Judge announced that before any final action, decision
or vote is made re~arding the subject matter of said
closed meeting, th1s meeting will be reopened the the
public.

The Court then went into executive session at 8:01 A. M.
The Judge reopened the meeting to the public at 8:20 A,M.
A Motion was made by Commissioner Galvan and seconded by
Commissioner Floyd to not extend the request for sick
leave for Victim Assistance Coordinator, Tammy Hernandez.
Commissioners Galvan, Balajka, Floyd, Finster and Judge
Marshall all voted in favor.
