Held December 11, 2007
BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 11th day of December, A.D., 2007 there was begun and
holden in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse in the City of Port Lavaca,
said County and State, at 2:00 P.M., a Special Term of the Commissioners' Court within said
County and State, and there were present on this date the following members of the Court, to -
wit:

Thereupon the following proceedings were had:
CALHOUN COUNTY EMPLOYEE POLICY AND PROCEDURE MANUAL:
Judge Pfeifer thanked Commissioner Finster for all of his hard work and dedication to get the
Employee Policy and Procedure Manual to the point that it is, it has been a lengthy project to
complete. Commissioner Finster stated that this Manual would bring the County up to date with
all the current State Laws and in compliance with all current statues. Commissioner Finster also
stated that each Department Head could add their own policy within their department but that
this Employee Manual should be adopted as the Master Policy. There were several comments
from the floor by Shannon Salyer, Assistant District Attorney, Rhonda Kokena, County Treasurer,
Cindy Raines, Chief Juvenile Probation Officer and others. After discussion of the Emplyee Prolicy
and Procedure Manual Commissioner Finster reported that the Court would bring the Calhoun
County Employee Policy and Procedure Manual back to Commissioners' Court on December 27,
2007 for adoption.
Court was adjourned at 2:50 pm.
