The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on Wednesday, September
19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211
S. Ann Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Approve Minutes of August 1, 2018 and August 8, 2018.
5. Consider and take necessary action on Contract with Kathy Smartt regarding application
for TWPD Boating Access grant approved on March 28, 2018 and authorize County
Judge to sign. (DH)
6. Public Hearing to consider amendment of Reinvestment Zone 17-01 to add 7.73 acres to
the reinvestment zone. (MP)
7. Consider and take necessary action on request to amend Reinvestment Zone 17-01 to add
7.73 acres to the reinvestment zone. (MP)
8. Consider and take necessary action on Second Amended Tax Abatement with Nan Ya
Plastics Corporation effective January 1, 2018 to include new PP3 unit. (MP)
9. Consider and take necessary action on Amendment to Tax Abatement Agreement with
Formosa Plastics effective 1/1/2016 to amend improvements and value included in
original agreement. (MP)
10. Consider and take necessary action on proposals for additional flood policies from GSM
Insurors as recommended by Don Gray and proceed with purchasing the flood policies as
quoted. (MP)
11. Consider and take necessary action on Insurance proceeds check from Texas Association
of Counties (TAC) for property damages associated with Hurricane Harvey in the amount
of $15,051.81. (MP)
12. Consider and take necessary action on FY2019 Texas VINE renewal and authorize
County Judge to sign contract with Appriss. (MP)

16. Consider and take necessary action to pre -approve expenditures by incumbent County or
precinct officer(s) under County's Policy of Compliance with LGC 130.908. (MP)
17. Approval of bills and payroll.
18. Public discussion of County matters.
