2012-10-11 AgendaNOTICE OF MEETING The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on October 11, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas. AGENDA The subject matter of such meeting is as follows: 1. Call meeting to order. 2. Invocation. 3. Pledge of Allegiance. 4. Approve Minutes of July 26, 2012 and August 9, 2012 Meetings. 5. Hear Report From Memorial Medical Center. 6. Award bids for Fuel to be delivered for the period October 16, 2012 through November 15, 2012. (CM) 7. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County Auditor to advertise for bids for Medical services for the Calhoun County Adult Detention Center for the period beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013. Bids will be due Thursday, December 6, 2012 and considered for award on Thursday, December 13, 2012. (CM) 8. Consider and Take Necessary Action to approve specifications and authorize the County Auditor to advertise forbids Prescription Drugs for the Calhoun County Adult Detention Center and the Calhoun County Indigent Program for the period beginning January 1, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013. Bids will be due Thursday, December 6, 2012 and considered for award on Thursday, December 13, 2012. (CM) 9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on termination of contract with Crown Billing and authorize County Judge to send letter to Crown Billing providing 60 day notice of termination. (HB) 10. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Appointment of Ms. Melissa Lester to Gulf Bend Center Board of Trustee to fill unexpired term. (MP) 11. Consider and Take Necessary Action on 2013 County Choice Silver Benefits Confirmation for Retirees and authorize County Treasurer to sign. (RK) Page 1 of 3 12. Consider and Take Necessary Action on FY 2012 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) in the amount of $41,881.46 and authorize County Judge to sign. (LT) 13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) 2012 Sub -Recipient Award in the amount of $47,201.95 and authorize County Judge to sign. (LT) 14. Consider and Take Necessary Action on appointment of Tonya Ross to Library Board for term 2012-2016. (NC) 15. Consider and Take Necessary Action to authorize loan in the amount of $298,229 from general fund to grants fund for Operation Stone Garden (OPSG) Award 411-SR-4857-02. (CM) 16. Consider and Take Necessary Action on LGC 113.022 extension of period during which funds must be deposited with the county treasurer to 15 days after the date the funds are received. (RK) 17. Consider and Take Necessary Action on "MaintenanceEdge Proposals" for maintenance tracking software package with FacilityDude and authorize appropriate signatures. (NF) 18. Extension Service viii. Health Department 19. Approval of payroll. 20. Consider and Take Necessary Action to pre -approve expenditures by incumbent County or precinct officer(s) under County's Policy of Compliance with LGC 130.908. (CM) 21. Approval of bills. 22. Consider and Take Necessary Action to accept the following donations to the Calhoun County Library. (See list) (NC) 23. Consider and Take Necessary Action to accept a donation of a 3 '/2 cubic foot, 1/3 HP Central Machinery cement mixer valued at $200 from Rayburn and Alene Haynie. (KF) 24. Consider and take necessary action on the matter of declaring certain items of County property in the following offices as suiplus/salvage. Consider and take necessary action on matter of declaring Calhoun County Sheriff's Office property which is no longer being used as waste and authorize disposal of property declared as waste. Consider and Take Necessary Action to declare certain items of property in the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department which is no longer being used as Surplus/salvage and authorize the Sheriff's Department to donate the uniform pants to the Calhoun County Senior Citizen's Center as per Local Government Code 263.152(a)(4)(13). (BB) 28. Consider and Take Necessary Action to transfer items of County property in the following offices and remove from inventory.
