The Commissioners' Court of Calhoun County, Texas will meet on Thursday, July 25, 2013
at 10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners' Courtroom in the County Courthouse at 211 S. Ann
Street, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas.
AGENDA
The subject matter of such meeting is as follows:
1. Call meeting to order.
2. Invocation.
3. Pledge of Allegiance.
4. Approve Minutes of May 9, May 14, May 23, June 6, June 27, July 1, and July 11, 2013
Meetings.
5. Consider and Take Necessary Action on purchase of real estate for use by Memorial
Medical Center for building of a rural health clinic, including, but not limited to a portion
of property owned by Calhoun County Independent School District that is located in Lots
2-5, Block 2 of Tilley Subdivision, Port Lavaca, Calhoun County, Texas, bordered by
Virginia Street, Victoria College Calhoun County Campus, Commerce Street and Newlin
Street, Port Lavaca, Texas, containing approximately 6.5 acres of land, more or less.

6. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request to extend vacation time in the amount of
40 hours for Jail Administrator Rachael Martinez, to be taken no later than July 31, 2013.
Rachael has been unable to take the remaining time of vacation due to emergency
situations in the jail. (GA)
7. Consider and Take Necessary Action on grant award of $4,942.00 for the FY2014
EMS/Trauma Care System Grant from Golden Crescent Regional Advisory Board. (HB)
8. Consider and Take Necessary Action on agreement with Texas Department of
Transportation to amend TxDOT CSJ No: 1313PTLAV to provide for additional
construction costs for runway lights improvements, to pay the additional sponsor's share
of $6,549.00 and authorize Commissioner Lyssy to sign all necessary documents. (VL)
9. Consider and Take Necessary Action on increase of building rental fees from $125 to
$250 and the deposit fees of the Bauer Exhibit Building from $125 to $250. (RG)
10. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request by Precinct #4 Road and Bridge to open
an Account with Momentum Rental and Sales and authorize Commissioner Finster to
sign all necessary documents. (KF)

11. Consider and Take Necessary Action on request by Precinct #4 Road and Bridge to open
an Account with Custom Tinting and authorize Commissioner Finster to sign all
necessary documents. (KF)
12. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Tax Resale Deed and Resolution regarding the
following Property and authorize County Judge to sign Deed:
Lots 25 & 26, Block 90, Alamo Beach, Calhoun County, Texas being that
property more particularly described in Volume 193, Page 621 of the Deed Records,
Calhoun County, Texas (Account #12598)
13. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Order Prohibiting Outdoor Burning. (MP)
14. Consider and Take Necessary Action on Appointments to the General Assembly and
Board of Directors of the Golden Crescent Regional Planning Commission. (MP)

VIN#2C4GP44371R423767, an abandoned vehicle, to be transferred to the Calhoun
County Sheriff's Office inventory. Vehicle value is $2,722.00. (GA)
20. Consider and Take Necessary Action to transfer a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Van
VIN#2C4GP44371R423767, from Calhoun County Sheriffs Office fleet to the Calhoun
County Maintenance Department. (GA)
21. Consider and take necessary action on matter of transferring certain items of County
property from one County department to another County Department. (See List)
22. Consider and Take Necessary Action to declare the attached list of vehicles as surplus
and remove from the Sheriffs Department Inventory. Said vehicles to be sold in the
Sheriff s Auction on August 15, 2013. (SEE LIST) (GA)
23. Consider and take necessary action on the matter of declaring certain items of County
property as surplus/salvage. (See List)
