Port Lavaca, Texas.
Gentlemen:
Under date of June 4, 1946, acting under Orders of
Sale issued1by the District Court of calhoun County, Texas, I,
as Sheriff of Calhoun County, sold at public auction several
tracts of land to satisfy tax liens held by the state of Texas
and Calhoun County.
As required by law I have paid over to the TaX Collector
sufficient monies to pay all taxes, corrnnissions and Court cost
and have paid the excess of, $6,005.19 to Mr. C. J. Thomson, District
Clerk, Calhoun County.
I am herewith attaching an itemized list of the excess
monies together with lf~. Thomson's official receipt and ask that
it be incorporated in the minutes of' the Commissioners' Court in
order that a permanent record may be had.
