I. Gilberto Ramirez, hereby make this affidavit for the purpose
of correcting my record of marriage to Petra Ramirez. On the 19th
day of August, 1935, I, Gilberto Ramirez and Petra Ramirez applied
for a marriage license. Due to my difficulty with the English lang—
uage, my last name was pronounced and entered upon our marriage license
as Rometes instead of the correct spelling of Ramirez. I am the same
and identical person who was married to Petra Ramirez under the name
of Rometes. At the time of our marriage I could neither write nor read
the English language. This affidavit is for the sole purpose of am—
mending my name on the origional record of marriage to show my correct
name to be Gilberto Ramirez instead of Gilberto Rometes• Attached is
a. copy of my birth record.
